Test & QA Lead
As our experienced Test & QA Lead, you will help us test and release cutting-edge solutions within our Product & Tech landscape. This is a crucial role for Spenn, where you will work on tech offerings that are core to our strategic vision. You will work directly with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and innovative environment. Just a few short months after releasing the app, we already have several hundred thousand users and are aiming to reach millions more.
Responsibilities:
- Design and automate test cases aligned with business needs.
- Design and monitor performance testing.
- Identify and reproduce bugs.
- Report on test activities and manage releases, including versioning and scheduling.
- Prevent quality issues by advising on best practices and tools.
- Collaborate with developers and Product Manager to resolve live issues.
- Maintain documentation (release procedures, notes, performance reports).
- Continuously improve QA and release processes.
Required experience and qualifications:
- Experience with tools for test automation, including scripting for integration testing.
- Proficient in Git and CI/CD.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and some Java is required.
- Effective in Agile environments with strong planning and prioritization skills.
- Understanding of operational best practices for test/QA.
- Experience with Postman and/or Gatling.
- Familiarity with test documentation in Jira Xray.
Personal attributes:
- The ability to identify challenges and create innovative solutions that work well in a product-focused environment and experience from a SAAS or product organisation is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate with different teams and stakeholders.
- Solution-oriented, analytical and structured.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Good communication skills in English and a Scandinavian language.

We’re looking for the right person to join us as soon as possible, but more importantly, we want someone who fits with our team’s values and our mission. The hiring process includes:
- An introductory call with Nina, our recruitment advisor.
- A first interview with Kristian (Spenn CTO) to discuss your experience and get to know each other better.
- A second interview, including a technical part with Kristian where we’ll explore your technical skills and problem-solving abilities, and a personality test with Camilla and Kristian - with a focus on getting to know you and your personal preferences better. These will be done step by step or combined - let’s discuss what’s best for you and the team.
